i know i can’t be the first person this has occurred to, but the thought of Hannibal Lecter secretly running a recipe blog never fails to crack my shit up
the bizarre opening anecdotes that turn into even weirder digressions and philosophical musings… buried somewhere on every single page is a detailed confession to a Chesapeake Ripper murder and a statement that the recipe was originally perfected using human flesh, but everything around it is such a potent combination of inscrutable and insufferable that nobody’s ever scrolled down that far before Ctrl+F’ing for the ingredient list
like not even an AU. it would be 100% canon compliant. nobody even realizes this thing exists until the FBI are searching the tablet they fished out of the pool of blood on Dr. Lecter’s floor.
ok sure, maybe a few screenshots of the actual recipes have gone viral on social media over the years because they ARE really good, but nobody has ever paid a lick of attention to the pretentious nonsense they had to scroll past to get there. until word gets out. at which point its contents spawn several pretentious-nonsense copypastas, at least three existentially terrifying SCPs, a stable of competing conspiracy theories, an unspeakably depraved RPF tag on AO3, and occasional rumors that the recipes were so good they lured an impressionable reader into copycat cannibalism.

Papercraft commission for @felinesomnambulist of Wei Wuxian, Jiang Yanli and Jiang Cheng!! They’ve got soup! They’ve got lotuses! They’ve got coordinated outfits! And, most importantly, they’ve got each other!!! It’s a good day in Yunmeng.
This is the finished version of the WIP I posted a couple weeks ago. I love the Yunmeng sibs with my whole heart, so I poured in a bunch of the techniques into this piece that I personally enjoy best. I’m particularly pleased with the ripple pattern on Yanli’s and Jiang Cheng’s robes, which was hand-drawn by me! (Somewhat unusual, since I mostly work with paper that I find/buy, rather than ones I make myself.)

I’d briefly messed around on tumblr in like…2010? ish? But it didn’t click with me because I couldn’t figure out how to really engage, so I stopped visiting. (Same thing with twitter at first!) Wound up making a new blog entirely for class because I couldn’t remember my login info lol.
